Ingredients

  • 4 pieces white fish fillets (snapper or barramundi)
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup cold beer
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into chips
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lemon wedges to serve
  • Tartare sauce

Instructions

Cut potatoes into thick chips and soak in cold water

Make batter by mixing flour, beer, and a pinch of salt

Heat oil to 180°C in a deep fryer or large pan
